Not compaible with aircards as advertised

This router is not compatible with the AT&T aircard I own, despite being advertised as compatible. Worse yet, I wasted several hours waiting on and talking to a hopeless helpdesk. I finally went back and read past reviews and learned that this is a very common problem. I was able to find a router that worked perfectly with my aircard. Don't waste your time with this router!!!

This router was difficult to install. Once installed it continually dropped contact with the web. Called customer service (garble, garble...) which was no help. Couldn't return the router soon enough!

Don't Buy This. Save Yourself The Time And Money

Netgear's 3G support page, as of August 19, 2010, lists this device as being compatible with the ATT USB Lightning connect made by Sierra Wireless. After spending considerable time upgrading to the latest firmware, the device continued to tell me the modem was not compatible.

After another 30 minutes on hold with a clueless Netgear support specialist (that did everything BUT help me), I decided to hang up, stop wasting my life on this product, and return it.

I assure you this device is not compatible with the USB Lightning Connect despite Netgear's claims.

I would also add that should you ignore my advice and order it anyway, Netgear will not use any of the money you give them to hire better support personnel.

Great idea, didn't work for me.

While the idea of this WiFi device sounds good, in practice it didn't work for me. After 4, hour plus calls to India, a joint decision was made to return the device. While I can't be positive the problem was not just a poor internet signal with the air card, the fact is it never responded to any of the tech support techniques, so I believe I just got a defective device. I returned for credit and will try for a different solution to my problem. All my other equipment is from Netgear and they work fine.

This Product was shipped as promised; Arrived ontime, and in pristine condition. A novice may have a small amount of trouble understanding the lack of instructions, but most people would have no problem in getting the netgear to operate with the supplied wiring. Once the wiring was attached properly the instruction and install wizard lead through the setup even on how to protect the signal from piracy.
